Biography
Dr. Josie McLean is a catalyst for new ways of seeing and doing things by helping individuals, teams, and communities to identify and rethink their underlying unconscious assumptions. Josie brings the human dimension of sustainability to this work. She is the founder of The Partnership and has a background as a financial analyst and corporate strategic planner and international recognition as a pioneer of the Australian coaching industry. Josie was an activist for The Pachamama Alliance (San Francisco), a member of a multidisciplinary research team with NCCARF (National Climate Change Adaptation Research Facility), Josie also facilitated community programs such as Ego to Eco in November 2022.
In 2019, Josie co-founded the Climate Coaching Alliance, a global network of professional coaches intending to influence the profession to recognize climate and ecological crises in their work. Josie’s doctoral research, conducted within the City of Marion, Embedding sustainability into organizational DNA: a story of complexity, was awarded the Dean’s commendation for excellence in doctoral thesis research. Josie continues to publish and has recently co-edited Ecological and Climate Conscious Coaching, published by Routledge.
What inspires you?
The possibility of opportunities for future generations to enjoy Earth as the generations before them have (but more sustainably and responsibly!).
