In January 2020, The International Coaching Federation (ICF) launched the Thought Leadership Institute (TLI) as a global online platform for leading-edge thinking on how coaching promotes societal well-being and human development. As one of six branches of the International Coaching Federation ecosystem, our role is to inspire professional coaches and global leaders on how coaching contributes to the best possible futures for work, education, and planetary ecology.
In 2021, we developed 95 articles, videos, graphics, and longer papers as outcomes of our first two convenings on the Future of Work and the Future of Coaching. In June 2022, we launched the Future of Education collection, which led to the creation of our very first Manifesto in October 2022.
For our collaboration on the Future of Planetary Ecology in January 2023, we shifted from a convening model to a deeper collaboration in the form of one-to-one interviews to spotlight the important contributions of our partnering experts.
